Yes parts are available to rebuild your Allstate Engine. Do you have the 4 cyl 134L Head or the 6 cyl 161L Head?

If you didn't already know that these engines were also used for the Henry J and Willy Jeep. So when doing searches for parts try these in addtion to Allstate. In fact you will have more luck under the Willy Jeep and then the (Kaiser-Frazer) Henry J than you will have with the Allstate.

One of the best sources for engine parts is egge machine. http://www.egge.com/   They can also reface your Tappets.

Also try these Willy guys:    Northstar Willy      http://www.northstarwillys.com/
                                      Jungle Jim's Willy    http://willysjeepparts.com/
                                      Kaiser Willy           http://www.kaiserwillys.com/
                                      Kanter                 http://www.kanter.com/
                                      Walcks Four 4wd   http://walcks4wd.com/
                                      Midwest Jeep Willy http://www.midwestjeepwillys.com/

I recently had my 161L-Head 6cyl rebuilt. I sourced all the parts. If you have any trouble finding parts give me a call at 623-412-7903 or e-mail me at AZSteele123@aol.com.

Note: I can also supply Allstate Spot Lights, Allstate Foglights, Allstate Radio, and Allstate Turnsignal (less cancelling ring). At times I can supply refurbished Allstate Heaters. I can also help you source other Allstate accessories if you need them.

Best or Luck,

Mark Steele

Thanks alot for the info, motor is locked up, took head off this morning. There is damage on piston at the top front cylinder.  Head is supersonic, must have been replaced at sometime. Any body out there got an Allstate head? Thank you Fid and Az.

Allstate heads are almost impossible to find. About a year ago Tex Dean told me that a guy had two that he wanted to get rid of. I do not know if the guy still has them or not. You might give Tex a call. I do not even know if Tex would still have the note that he had with the guy's contact info on.

In reply to your, "Just wondering about how much for parts to rebuild 4-cyl .

I looked at Kanter's pricing for 4 cyl 134L-Head Engine Overhaul Kits and the pricing is as follows:

Basic Kit:   $598.22
Deluxe Kit: $759.00
Master Kit: $629.17

You can go to http://www.kanter.com///gallery.aspx?Tg=2150179&Mak=Henry%20J&Yr=52&Dv=1&Dpt=1400&Sb=0&Vdr=&Itm=&MDv=1&MDpt=0&MSb=0&Prc= to see what is all include in each of these kits. Note: this is only for parts you will need to factor in shipping and labor.

I also suggest you shop around you maybe able to save money by buying parts from different suppliers. I know I did and saved about 10%. It took some amount of my time, but I enjoy doing this kind of research. Most of my parts came from egge machine. My mechanic like what egge sent and was not impressed with what Kanter sent on other projects they did.

Good Luck!
