Early Models and Late Models (Allstate-52)
« on: November 19, 2009, 04:48:27 PM »
My 52 Allstate has no trunk, lights are not on the fins, vent windows are fixed
Early or late?

Thanks again, Milton

Late '52. Like the Henry J, the early '52s used left over '51 bodies which would have not had the tail lights on the fins.  Factory bulletin 323 states that the trunk lid is still optional on the '52 Corsair and Corsair Deluxe models but I have seen very few, if any, late '52 - '54 Js without a trunk lid.  The late '52 Allstates without a trunk lid are much more common.

1951 Kaiser Special

Here's a late model 53 Allstate. Has a 6 cylinder engine, OD, radio, heater but blackwall tires and no bumper guards.
