Replacing dash bezels
« on: October 04, 2015, 01:26:57 PM »
I'm in the process of going thru my dash and wiring.  Replacing the 'wiper' 'blower' and 'lights' bezels to hold the switches there has me scratching my head.
Is the trick to separate them from the spinning bolt within?  Guess before I tear things apart I will ask the experts.  Thank you!

Tom, you need a special tool to get the switches off on the 54 dash.  John Hewlett in Lubbock, TX used to make these.  You can contact him at 806.745.4955 to see about getting one.  I bought one from him a few years back and it worked great.

Is this the same tool that is required to remove these switches on a Darrin?

Thanks, Mike!  I've spoken with him and hope to get the tool.
