Another upholstery question

I am going to redo my seats and the posts between the doors need to be redone. How do you remove it to redo it? I have a 1948 Frazer Manhattan.

The front seat is bolted to the floor at the tracks. The lower cushion just lifts out of the frame and once out, you'll see the bolts. They fasten to threaded tube type fasteners that are probably rusty. soak them in penetrating oil before removing.

Sorry maybe wasn't clear. I have the seats out but don't know how to take upholstery off of the posts between the doors.

The upholstery between the doors is attached to heavy laminated paper that is almost the consistency of masonite. Attached to the paper are fasteners that push into holes in the sheet metal. If you push the windlace back a bit you should be able to get a stiff putty knife behind the paper and with a gentle tug, the uphokstery and backer should come off.
