The bidding went from $255 to 1,200   Sound like a buddy bid .

Interesting car. Yet another 54, and this one a Manhattan.  Looked it over pretty good from the blow up photo option.  Complete, appears to be original interior and body.

Why did the superchargers always get taken on these cars?  Sure I know they were a curiosity and I believe painted RED, but what good are they on other cars?

I looked at the close up of the headlight trim rings and spotted the small K emblem.  I think that is an awesome detail, for the designer to think of but at the same time probably cost 30 cents or so to add.
No old cars owned.

The supercharger was in the trunk. But the owner decided to sell it separate .Stated it was frozen ,but he was going to try to free it up.

That's the worst thing one can do to a supercharger. The guts are basically a large set of ball bearings riding in an aluminum cage...trying to free it up will undoubetdly score the cage. Better to pull it apart and clean it up the right way. It's not a difficult job.
