Rejoined the Club Tonight!

Hello All----I have been following the forum as a guest for some time and had to get back into things. I found my original 1964 ID Card yesterday which read Member #511. I originally joined the club in 1964 in Kansas City which then had a chapter called the Heart of America Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club. I think that Jessee Ehlers was the president of it at the time. My last meet in KC was 1969 at Overland Park, KS.

I have no Kaisers now but just finished the major work on my 1966 Chrysler 300 Convertible with a 440 TNT engine. I doubt if anyone that I knew back then is still with us as all the older guys you mention that I knew aren't here any more. I have a lot of the early Quarterlies still that I look at. My uncle was factory trained at Willow Run and knew a lot about the efforts to supercharge the 1953 Kaiser and put other engines in them.

I am trying to talk my wife into letting me get one more Kaiser. She likes the 1954-55 ones especially in Dark blue with a white top. Saw one in 2011 at Larry Barker's in Phoenix that had a V-8 but we were in the middle of the Chrysler restoration. I hate to see so many Kaisers going begging for owners but the economy has a lot to do with that.

Welcome back! I, too, have been with the club since 1964 and am glad to see you've decided to rejoin. Your timing is perfect as we've just published our 2016 calendar and will also soon send a Quarterly as well.

A dark blue with white top was recently advertised for sale.  Maybe Joe can  help you locate it.  I'm a 54-55 guy too.  Have a 54 now.  Planning to rejoin.

Thanks for rejoining,  You will now get a top notch monthly Bulletin with great cars and parts for sale as well as K-F-W lore from our historian.  Although we can not afford to publish the Quarterly on a regular basis anymore we try to publish one a year along with our calendar which we are all looking forward to receiving soon. Plan on joining us for our National Meet next summer.  You will probably run across some old friends.

Welcome back!! I joined in 1998 and then took a few years off during the great recession but then rejoined in 2012.

I remember Jesse Ehlers and his wife (whose name I cannot remember). He was a nice guy. I met him at several meets and I believe he came to at least one or two SoCal meets back in the 1980's.

Gordie, the calendars were sent BULK MAIL which means that USPS doesn't have to deliver (bottom run priority) and there is no forwarding.  If you have not received one, please contact Steve Hermesch to get a replacement.

You might also want to ask Steve how many replacements he's sent out.
