Henry J Corsair project sold at Spring Auburn sale corral
« on: May 10, 2016, 07:02:20 PM »
I was at the Auctions America Auburn Spring auction weekend last Friday and came across this 1952 HJ Corsair (not Deluxe) project that was sold. I thought I would share the photos for fun and invite any comments as to its features. The grill bar almost looks as if from a 52 Kaiser instead of HJ but not sure. Also is the continental spare the correct configuration for Vagabonds or for this car? Or is this 3rd party? Interior looks to be original though.

The grille bar is correct although it appears to be missing the center support. At $1500, it looks like a decent buy.

Sales literature touted the continental kit as a feature on the '52 Vagabond but it was available as an option on all Henry Js starting in late 1951.  The kit on this car is the correct KF issue continental kit for the Henry J.  Interior is original - Caribbean plaid with Cape Verde green vinyl
