Fake wire wheels

I have a set of wheel covers that are made to look like wire wheels. How many were made.  Are they a Kaiser item?  How many were made?  Are you the proud owner of a set?  What value do you place on them?

L A Dealer had K F Cap standard, real spoke wheels, spoke hubcap with a Anodized Gold Spinner in the middle.

I have looked everywhere and every way to find a photo of the fake wire wheel covers that I have...and found...nothing,

I don't know if this is what you are talking about but these are what I have on my car.

On 6/30/53 Kaiser announced what they called "wire spoke wheel covers" in Parts and Accessories Bulletin 25-B and they are proper for '53-55 Kaisers and the part number is 100327.  They were not exclusive to Kaisers only but were made for any car application but were purchased by K-F and became a genuine Kaiser part.  There will probably be an illustration of the wheel cover in Circle KF web site.  They had a simulated knock off style center cap.  They originally came in a set of four for $36.50.  A lot of money in 1953.  Real wire wheels were also an accessory for Kaiser cars starting in 1952.

The pictured wire cap is the unit made available in 1953. They are not common - probably because they are difficult to properly align on the backer cap. Most owners gave up and put them on the shelf.

A club member ran across a case of NOS sets a few years ago and had trouble selling his inventory due to their somewhat difficult installation. When properly installed they do look good.

I had to go out and take pictures of my wire hubcaps.  Are we talking about the same things???   These Wire Hubcaps are only held on by two screws, just set them on the hubcap, off the car and on a flat surface and drill two holes, how difficult is that to do, or am I mistaken???

I wouldn't mind having another set just in case I lost one, if there are any out there.

My set looks like that, but there are no wire spokes.  The wire spoke pattern is stamped into the metal.
