What is the proper engine color for a '51 HJ deluxe. I have seen some green, but I have also seen some a red color in some sales literature.
Thanks for any information.

For all Henry J cars, dark green is correct. For all Allstate cars, dark blue is correct. The red shown in some sales/advertising literature was just the artist taking a bit of artistic license.

I second that. As I mentioned in other posts John Deere green is not the answer!

Thanks for the reply, I thought that was the case, but then I saw the literature and didn't know for sure. This is my third J but the others were 4 cylinders.
