wiper arm removal on FC 170
« on: October 23, 2016, 06:10:57 AM »
What is a safe way to remove the wiper arms on a FC 170 ? These have a stud thru the base with a nut to hold them on . Tried removing the nut and wiggling them around but no movement . I thought about a puller but then I don't want to destroy them . Anyone have a suggestion ?

They should slide off once the nut is removed. I remember parting an FC150 out many moons ago and that's all I did to remove the arms on the parts truck.

O.K. ., I just need to pull harder . I didn't want to damage anything . Thanks for the response .

At the base of the wiper arm may be a "ledge" that will catch underneath the spline of the base. Hold the arm at an angle that will allow it to clear the spline when you pull it off.
