Title: Save the Date - May 18-20, 2017 - Midwest Division Meet

Thought I'd post this now - save the date - May 18 thru 20, 2017 for the joint Midwest Division of the KFOCI and Midwest Willys Reunion meet. Last May's joint meet was such a hit with the Willys gang that they've asked us to again join them as they hold their annual spring meet.

This year, the show will be held in Columbus, Indiana, which is less than an hour south of Indianapolis on US route 65. The host hotel is the Clarion Inn and as I understand it, they're going all out to ensure the facility meets our needs. The room rate is $89 per night when you mention the Willys Reunion meet when placing your reservation.

HOA  division will also host  meet on those dates in
Sioux City Iowa get to one or the other

The April 2017 issue of the Monthly News Bulletin includes the Registration Form for this meet, however the following was inadvertently omitted in the print version:

Send completed registration forms and a check payable to the Willys Reunion to:

For those attending the Midwest meet this weekend, here's a link to the visitor's bureau with quite a list of interesting things to do that includes a bus tour of the city's architecture, a landmark tour, among others, as well as the Exit 76 Antique Mall. The forecast calls for warm weather so I'm sure everyone will want to visit Zaharakos Ice Cream.

Just back from the meet and if you didn't attend, you missed a great two days. Twenty one KF club members and their guests joined well over 100 Willys Reunion members for the weekend where we were treated to several seminars that included carburetor rebuilding as well as a discussion on the various implements used with a Jeep. We also heard from Edward Bick who was Henry J Kaisers marketing assistant during the KF and later years. At 95 years young, he recalled many meetings with HJK and Edgar with great detail.

There were about 45 Jeeps of all sizes and years present, as well as four KF products.

The Saturday evening banquet's speaker was Dennis Caraway, one of the founders of the reunion. He presented a slide show with pictures from over the years.

Thank you to all from the kFOCI who attended...and put up with the torrential rains on Friday afternoon and Saturday evening. It wouldn't be a KF meet without some liquid sunshine!
