About the 3rd or 4th time around for this one on ebay. I wonder why it doesn't sell? It looks like a good candidate for restoration or customization.

Take a closer look at the tail lights on this car. It looks like someone added 52 tail lights to a 51 car by beating the sheet metal flat so the housings would fit. I wonder if it really is a 52...the VIN tag would tell the tale.

The fact that it has a glove box is a strong indicator that it is a '52 as a '51 would not have a glove box and it would not be easy to add one. Also, a '51 would not have Corsair scripts but of course, as we know, those could've been added by someone - the glove box not likely. It has a '52 front bumper, '52 front stone shield and hood (horizontal adjusting screw slots as opposed to vertical on a '51). It appears the driver side rear fender was damaged and perhaps re-shaped/replaced with a '51 type. Too many other things would've had to been changed if it were a '51. I believe it is a '52.

I saw that car at the 2016 Auctions America Auburn Spring sale. It was for sale and sold in the corral section. I snapped a few pics of it because it had original interior. Asking price was $1500 and it was marked sold. See attachments...

That's definitely '52 door upholstery. My '52 HJ Vagabond has the same front seat but because it's a Vagabond (reserialed '51) it has the '51 style door panels (all dinosaur vinyl, no inserts)
