Had to chuckle at the ad. They provide a paragraph of "history", but no information at all about the car except it's a barn find.  ::)

KF had considered putting the Allstate badge on the 49 Kaisers and pictures exist of the script placed on a car. There were changes to the grille layout and interior to differentiate the Kaiser from the Allstate. Nothing came of that and as the ad states, the Henry J ended up being used and the Allstate badged car was introduced in late 1951.

I agree, I think the asking price is a bit too high. I noticed the Allstate cylinder head is not on the engine, hopefully it's with the car...it's probably one of the more valuable Allstate specific bits.

This Allstate seems to be missing the grill, rear emblem and hubcaps which are all difficult to find.  I am sure that sitting in a Michigan garage for fifty years was not very good for the cars sheet metal.  They do not turn up very often.
