Is there any intrest in a new HJ gas tank there is some talk about repoping them. They would be exact replica.
If anyone is interested please post, they will cost about $350.00.
Also for Darrin.
Thanks

Absolutely! That would be a welcomed item.

Trying to find out how many we might be able to sell. It is a costly item to make and we would have to make 100 of them to get the cost down. The tank for the Darrin is the same as the Henry J but the fill neck is different. So we either have to make both tanks or make the two different fill necks and solder on the right one for the sale.

Everything depends on price but I would be in for one or two if the price is not prohibitive .This may be an item for the manufacturing fund . There is a need now and there will be a need in the future . They won't go bad in storage like some other items .

What's the difference who makes them?
If we do make them they will be right.
How many will you buy? That's what is important.

I'd be interested in a larger version of the OEM tank. The stock one is pretty small.
-
Is that tank the same for an Aero Willys?
It would be great if it is that easy.
My other option is to have mine restored.

Henry J and Willys Aero tanks are not interchangeable.
-
I'd be interested.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the Henry J gas tank or the ohm range for the fuel sender?
-
Was there ever any traction on this?
-
Ohm range is about 70 to empty and ten to full.

The Club Manufacturing Fund has the HJ fuel tank in the works. It will be made of the same material as the 1951-55 Kaiser version and will be the correct size for judging purposes and for proper SAFE installation in cars. Adam Harder, who is in charge of the remanufacturing program can give people more information.
I have already advised him of my intent to purchase one as a spare for the 1952 Henry J that Barbara & I have.
