Post by: JoeKeys2010 on May 24, 2017, 01:21:40 PM
Looking for a distributor for a 1949 Kaiser Deluxe.  Busted mine moving the engine.

What's the number on the tag? A couple different ones were used.

Here is a picture of the tag. I broke the part that bolts to the motor.

Sounds like the adapter broke...a common problem. The small ear that mounts to the head snaps off and the only good fix is to replace the adapter. There are two styles used, one has a slightly longer base (the part that mounts down in the head) than the other. You'll want the style with the longer base. I'm sure someone here will have a spare - I'm sure I do but since everything is packed for our move I have no idea where it is...

Didn't look close and didn't realize the adaptor was separate from the distributor. I take it the adapter is not readily available to buy?  If anyone has one I could use one.
