That list is very old and many of those owners and cars are no longer with us. Check your KFOCI roster and see if any of those names are still in the roster. Also for small towns look in the phone book for the town and some of the names could turn out to be a relative who would remember K-F cars in the family. Our list was started over 40 years ago and as you will notice many of the listings were old sightings and some of the cars were in junk yards.
-
I do not know how to read the roster. Names are not there...only email addresses. Where is there a current list of present owners of 54-55 Kaiser Manhattans?
-
From the new letter :
2 strong running KAISER
engines, with good oil pressure: a '51
and a '52. Both for standard transmissions. Can hear them run! $300 each or both for $500. Located in western
MA. Tom #1277,

(Jake) Why do you need to know the names of the owners of 54 or 55 Kaisers..
Any long time club member could tell you who has one..
~~~~~
Not certain why you are concerned about my seeking, and offering NO helpful information.
You are a long time member. Would you care to tell me who has a 54 or 55?...BY NAME?
-
I think you have confused the "registry" (list of cars) with the "roster" (list of members). The most recent roster was printed in 2016 & mailed to current members. If you do not have a roster but are a current member, you can get a listing of members in your area online at the club website. Sign in to the "Members Only" section, click on the Directory tab and enter your search criteria.
Edited to correct: you do not need to sign in to the "Members Only Content" section to access the Directory, it is available once you have signed in as a member.
I am a former member but am not presently.
Carpenter, do you own a Kaiser Frazer, looking to buy, or what is your current interest? :o
-
I am the proud owner of a 1954 4 door Kaiser Manhattan which I purchased from an individual who had bought it from the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. It 99%+ rustless. It is supposed to be light green with a dark green top, but the museum had it painted bright red with a bright white top. It attracts a lot of attention being those colors.
I am trying to find and keep up with all 54-55s that are in my part of the country. Had no idea it was going to be such a major task.
If I had the money new 54-55s would be rolling off the assembly line on a regular basis. The styling of no other auto matches them.
Why not re-join the club? The info you want is available to members, plus you get club news in the Bulletin, the Quarterly magazine, the annual Calendar and the latest Handbook on CD (a collection of factory documents and information on KF and it's products).
-
Jake, the first one is no longer available. Where is the red one located?
-
So how do we find out where?
-
I am a former member but am not presently.
Why not re-join? If you were a current member you'd find 2 1954 Late Special Kaisers for sale in the November Bulletin.
-
I don't understand this thread. Carpenter has a 54 Kaiser and wants to know if any other 54 owners are in his area . He is instead being offered cars etc for sale.
-
this is all too common and very annoying
certain users of this forum are notorious for this misusage
Good to see that others are noticing this...AND...the non-information responses. LOOK IT UP YOURSELF, YOU BIG DUMMY...is what some seem to be saying.
-
WHAT Pool? WHERE in Mississippi? I talked with John W-10-25-17.
-
Vehicle Registry was printed in a kaiser Quarterly.
That was 2003! Fourteen years later I wouldn't rely on it.
-
I have been a member..plan on rejoining, but thought I would get more help than...JOIN.
-
Most any sort of club, car, gun, poker, etc doesn't just hand over their membership list to anyone that asks for it. People that want to be found by other like minded people join clubs & register their contact info. The Bulletin Editor already pointed out this info comes as one of the perks of joining. It's a modest fee.
-
There are times when a request like mine is answered and is an encouragement to JOIN, but negative responses can turn a prospective member away from membership.
My response was just stating facts.
It's entirely your choice to decide whether or not club perks & membership info is worth about the price of a hubcap.
Hey Carpenter,
If you are actually short of funds, I suggest that you start a "go fund me", and you'll probably become a rich man.
And, re-join the KFOCI Club.
Anything worth having has a price.
You are playing coy, and I know you are just yanking chains.
So,
Send your money and you'll get a membership without offending all the other "old" dudes like me!!
You are not a pan-handler, as my spies have you in their scope, and we want and need you again on our team!
This is just one example of why many have left this club!!
This is just one example of why many have left this club!!
Terry, please clarify what you mean. Is the reason "many have left this club" because 1) non-members are expecting/getting club info for free here, 2) club members are encouraging non-members to join, or 3) club members don't want to share proprietary info for free with non-members?
Here's my 2 cents: if you want club support, you need to support the club. If Forum members (most of whom are not KFOCI members) get free club materials, where's the incentive for anyone to join or renew? And without paid memberships how long do you think the club will survive?
Carpenter, if all you want/need at this time is access to membership information, you can join as an Associate: $5 per year. Just be aware that level does not receive any club publications (Bulletin, Quarterly, Handbook or Calendar).
K. Thanks.
To all,
I have spoken with Carpenter recently, discussed his situation, and have a good relationship with him. I am willing to pay for his membership for this year immediately if you will send me the bill. Terry, please lighten up, and all will be ok.
Anyone our age should not spike others without first trying to understand the meaning. Too much PC has nearly destroyed our country, and if HRC had been elected, I would have had another 4 years of despondency.
Have a great day,
Jerry
Jerry, you can use the Membership Application & Renewal Form in the Bulletin (page 5 in the November issue) or the attached form.
-
Jerry, I enjoyed our phone conversation. You have a super heart..to be paying my fee, and I Thank You. Hoping to meet you and share more Kaiser stuff. Again, Thanks.
-
I guess this is Kaiser related since I am a member and own one. I am having colon cancer surgery on Tuesday and if you believe in Prayer would appreciate you praying for me. Thank you. #4613.
-
Brother... I had a brain anursym. They opened up the top of my skull and clipped it. Six weeks later I had a hemorrhage. I came very close twice. That was 20 years ago and I'm still around and ornery as ever! You are right to seek prayer. You can hold it in the road with the right co-pilot.
In our prayers, Carpenter.
I know from personal experience the strong emotions that cancer causes.
I was diagnosed with cancer about a year and a half ago. I believe that great strides have been made in cancer treatment. I also believe in the power of prayer. My prayers are with you.
The KFOCI members are with you.
-
Thank You to those who are praying. I am 5 years clear of bladder cancer. Did not need another kind.
-
So sorry to hear this Carpenter. Cancer has been quite brutal to my family but there have been some victories in there as well. Hang in there.
-
There just seems to be so much of it Fid, and some information says it is due to high sugar intake. I have a doctor friend who is part of a group that is working on a way to eliminate cancer inexpensively.
-
Thank you, Jake.
