I heard some grumblings about our streering wheels a few monts ago. Is it really happening? Does anybody who's doing them?

The Manufacturing Fund did steering wheels a few years ago and it was a very expensive project but the wheels came out very well and there are still a few around and you see them advertised occasionally. One big problem was finding old cores to re-do as we did not manufacture complete new steering wheels but replaced the plastic on the old wheels. There are a few companies that will do that today but I do not know what the cost is, Place an ad in our Bulletin and see if you can locate one that way or check with our K-F suppliers to see what is available. The club has no plans to do steering wheels in the near future.

How do I locate vendors that can rebuild a steering wheel? Does anyone have any names and numbers?

I just looked in the latest issue of Hemmings Motor News and there at least fifteen companies that offer steering wheel repairs and or restoration.
