Hi, we have found an under hood light (KF box but no number) with no installation instructions. The wire with it is rubberized and has an eyelet at
one end and a plug-in at the other. It looks like the eyelet goes to the light but where does the plug go and what is the routing? We also would like
to have a template ( or a description ) for the placing of the mounting holes. We want to install this on our 54 Manhattan.

The item was originally designed for use on the 1947-50 model year Kaiser & 1947-51 Frazer. For the 1951-55 Kaisers, you have to work up a new contact point as the contours of the hood do not allow for install as shown on the box (where the installation instructions are found, there was no separate sheet). I know about the 51-55 Kaiser thing as I tried to put one on the 1951 Business Coupe when I had it.

Under hood lights were not offered by K-F after 1950 and they seem to have been replaced by the hand held spotlight that plugged into the cigarette lighter and has a 12 foot cord. Rudy Phillips recently offered one on eBay for $99.00 new in the box. K-F also offered a trunk light that is not often seen.

Thanks, we don't have any early cars...I'll move this item to the 'for sale' section.
