I lost a great friend in the collecting hobby last fall. I am speaking of Robert C Antram. He is the man who sparked the flame within me to become a collector of the Frazer Rototiller. He fueled that spark by sharing so much information that took him years to collect without the aid of the Internet. I thought it humorous that some of the literature had a note "for you eyes only" and "do not share". His interest and mine branched into the connection with ROTOTILLER, INC. in Troy, NY. Through another avenue I got to know some of those associated with Troy-Bilt and ROTOTILLER, INC. and was fortunate to answer some questions that Bob was searching for. He and his son Dave talked me into attending the national meet in Gettysburg in 2015 along with a freshly restored B1-6 ROTOTILLER. I am so thankful that I went and the two of us could represent the other part of the Kaiser Frazer story. It is because of Bob's quest for the rest of the story that I have continued researching the history of the Frazer ROTOTILLER and ROTOTILLER, INC. I have done things that I never thought I would do in that I have developed a large website on the ROTOTILLER brand, have written many articles on different models, and because of all of that I have become a more out going person. I truly will miss my friend Bob Antram!

Bob Antram was a great guy and certainly the king of Rototillers. Son David is carrying on in his tracks and has amassed a huge collection of top notch Kaiser and Frazer cars and memorabilia. You old timers will remember when Bob would pull his trailer display of different models of rototillers to the National Meets. Today we rarely see any. He will be long remembered!

That trailer is what got me hooked when I first saw it in 1998. I attended the Gravely Mow-In at his place the next year.

Sorry to hear about Bob Antram. If you are into Frazer rototillers, I am posting here some pics of one that I took photos of in 2016 at the Hillsdale County (Michigan) Fair. I do not know much about them but you can use these images as you see fit.

That is sad. I did not know Bob but have been friends with Dave for 2 years, as he has a couple of interesting cars for sale. Clearly Bob's influence was passed on to Dave, so through that connection, I know Bob must have been a great guy.
Why not Rototillers! Collect away.
