A couple of authenticity questions:
Is that original upholstery?
What is the horsepower on a 54 Kaiser? This one says it is a manual car.

Some of the "late" Specials used Willys seat material for the inserts and that's what looks to be in this car.
Since there's no supercharger, the rated horsepower would be 118.
With no overdrive and vacuum wipers, this car would have been a loss leader...designed to be advertised at a low price in hopes of drawing in some showroom traffic.
