Does anyone have a parts motor or some engine parts laying around. I desperately need a couple of connecting rod bolts and nuts, at least 2, 12 if I can find them. I can not finish assembly of my motor until a get them. Failing that if anyone has a possible source. I have exhausted all sources that I have with no luck. All I can say is please HELP!
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Did you check with our regular club suppliers? They should all have what you are looking for.
-
Dang, I figured you found those long ago!
I just emailed a guy, a long shot.
None of the places I mentioned had them?

Duane Hayes says he's got 161 parts engines & to email him.

Thanks Mark, I sent him an email.
I did check every source I could find including the ones you sent me with no luck.

What about Paul Berry at Willys America? What did he have?
-
I sent a message Willys American and they said they didn't have any at this time.

Duane Hayes,a reader of the Forum, was able to send me what I needed, they arrived yesterday and they look like they are exactly what I need. Thank you Duane, very much and I will have you piston in the mail, early next week, I still have to find them and I am going out of town for a few days. Thank you also Mark for the good lead, the second time you have been a lifesaver.

I am sorry I credited the wrong person for the kind help with the badly needed rod bolts. I should have thanked Gilbert Chestney. Thank you Chestney.

This worked so well for the rod bolts I needed, thank you to Gilbert and the group for the list of possible sources. I now need a windshield frame, I do not need the stanchions, mine are ok. My frame has 2 saw cuts that were spot welded back together. The frame flexed at one of these cut locations and now my windshield is cracked. I bought a replacement windshield but I don't want to put it in until I get the frame replaced.
Thanks,
Warren

I have come to the conclusion that I need a new flywheel. I had a nice one that I had surfaced when I took my engine in to get the machine work done. I got the flywheel back well before the block and head. I put it away SOMEWHERE and now that I am ready to install it I can not figure out where I put it. I have been looking for weeks and the only solution is to replace it, then I will find the original.
Is the 134 flywheel the same as the 161 flywheel. How many teeth on the flywheel gear, I am hearing 149 or 129.
Thanks

Are you looking for a Darrin frame?
I have a perfectly modified Allstate frame to fit the Darrin, that I did a few months ago. It includes the transmission cross member.

Thanks Lee, but I don't need a frame. I should not need a flywheel either if I hadn't put mine away for safekeeping and don't know where that is now. Also, I miss typed, I was trying to ask whether the Darrin uses a 124 or 129 tooth flywheel gear, not a 149 tooth.

Finally, replacement flywheel and clutch in place. Mounting the transmission tomorrow and complete painting the engine. I hope to drop engine back in by this weekend
