For those interested, a 1951 Kaiser Deluxe 2-door Traveler appeared on this week's episode of STICKER SHOCK which airs Wed. evenings at 10PM Eastern & Pacific times. The show can be viewed via Discovery Channel on Demand through 6/30. Value of the car was $14,000-15,000.

The appraiser was going to say $20k, but noted some rust under the car.
-
Why didn't they or you show opening of the upper part of the Traveler? Otherwise, it was a nice piece on your car.
-
I am very disappointed they cut that part and a shot of the inside from the show. I think they showed too many Henry Js and not enough of the Travelers.

Haven't seen any HJ's on there yet ~ how many were at the taping?
-
No HJs that I saw.

As they were introducing the Traveler, they were showing several pictures of Henry J's instead of the car they were appraising. Just another example of today's TV car shows and the bull they feed the viewing audience. That was a nice Traveler, probably valued fairly and what's a little rust between friends...a neat car that needs no excuses.

Thanks ~ I misunderstood John's comment

The appraiser made comment how straight the panels were and the lack of ripples, which would really show on a dark car. Unless the car has been skimmed & sanded with a fairing board, that's a comment on the build quality.
