Title: License Plate Frames

I picked this one up a few years ago, had it re-chromed.   I hang it from the back window opening in my Traveler.

That dealer was located at 1240 Post St. in San Francisco.  You did a beautiful job of restoring it!  All K-F dealer license plate frames are scarce as the license toppers were cheaper and more popular with the dealers.

There was more than one HENRY J. KAISER MOTORS in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Palo Alto's dealer in 1947 was a Henry J. Kaiser Motors facility.

Also, how about these license Plate frames from various parts of the 48 states of the day?  Main Motors in NY state used a frame with their name at the top  and a later frame with name at the bottom.

This invoice list a Henry J Kaiser Motors on 1865 University Ave in Berkeley 3, California.

All of those addresses are interesting.  I picked up the address from about nine service postcards sent from them to customers.  The trade-in on the invoice would probably be worth a lot more than a Henry J if the two were side by side in equal condition today.

The reason that some of the dealers names are on the top or bottom of the frames is because when the 1951 Kaisers came out the frames would no longer fit certain applications so the dealers had to re-order frames that would work.

I realize this is a bit off the original intent of this thread for here are a couple examples of dealer information that were car specific (the Minnesota one only fits 1951-1952 Virginian Kaisers & the PA one fits 1952-55 Kaisers only) and an actual vacuum plastic tag which was used in 1953-55 by Ball Service Company, the distributor for the Elkhart IN territory (which included South Bend).

Thanks for sharing more of your collection.  It is fun to see and by everyones' participation in the forum we all learn more about our favorite cars and the things that the dealers used to promote the cars in their own home towns.
