Starting a topic for the 2018 convention.
Arrived Sunday to find around 100 members and guests here and enjoying Sunday evening's ice cream social.
Pictures and details coming from those attending!

Looking forward to the photos and recap.

It's rare to see one Allstate at a KF national, but this year we were treated to three. The one outfitted with fog lights has 12,000 original miles and aside from a good cleaning and the usual safety item updates is original.
-
A few photos of the show field and the vendor lineup. If they didn't have it, you didn't need it.
-
A quick tally of convention highlights:
- 35 cars registered, although a few more did come and go. A few non-KFW vehicles stopped by as well, including a beautiful 40 Ford two door.
- 132 attended Sunday evening's ice cream social..and the treats were delicious!
- 165 attended the banquet
- Next year's meet will be held in Granbury, Texas which is 35 miles west of Ft Worth
- The 2020 convention is slated for Kalispell, Montana. The show's organizers are working with local hotels to obtain favorable pricing. More to come on that.
Lastly, a good time was had by all. The weather was typical of a KF national - hot with plenty of liquid sunshine, but we're used to it!
A big thank you to those who organized the event!

It was truly a great National in all sense of the word. Thanks to Carl and Ceph Herring and their team for the memories. First class accommodations and well planned for all! 👌👍👍👊👊😊😎

this was a great convention not as many cars as we would like but those that were there were great. everyone seemed to have had a great time. Old friendships, new friendships, old members, new members, some that haven't been to a convention is a long time and some that this was their first convention.
some rain and a lot of sun on the days we needed it.
I am putting in a few pictures here and try to post more on Facebook.

Good to see the old Linden Green leather upholstered '48 Custom was there. Last national it was at was Wichitah, KS in 1981. It was also at Dearborn in '74. Glad it survives.

Great photos, a couple of "younger" owners there in the one photo bodes well.
National meet attendance is down for the 2 clubs I belong to, so for the overall membership numbers, 35 is not bad.
Cadillac LaSalle Clubs "Grand National" had 75 cars is all, membership is 6600. (Location: Texas)
Buick Club of America had 171 cars at their National meet, membership about 6800 (Denver Colorado suburb)
KFOCI - 35 cars, 990 members.
The next two meet locations will challenge vehicle attendance. Should get 30-40 cars in Texas? Kalispell Montana is a very scenic area to have a car show, but also very remote and difficult to reach with 65 year old cars.

Fid,
This is Wonderful to see the Rare Products in Our Club stay in the Club & Show It. So sad when they Disappear.
Do You know the Owner? Fun to tell them the Story when You’re Family Owned it.

Hi Fid,
The Linden Green '48 Custom at the National didn't have leather interior. It has original cloth interior. The leather interior '48 was at the Mt Pleasant, Ia meet in May. By the pictures they look the same.

Ah... OK, maybe it was because I had just seen it and the owner commented he might bring it to National I made an assumption. I stand corrected. Sorry G.B. The one in the picture is a nice car just the same.
