Title: automatic transmission

I have a 1953 Manhattan with automatic transmission.  My question is should the transmission be painted green like the engine?  The transmission has been rebuilt and if it is supposed to be green, I guess all the paint came off in the rebuild.

Yes it should be the same shade of dark metallic green.
