The video itself identifies the footage on the cars as from the 1953 New York Auto Show.  They are showing the Darrin prototype displayed at the Kaiser-Frazer booth; it was during this event that Kaiser-Frazer announced the car would go into production and the first orders (from bandleader Xavier Cougat - car for himself and for his wife) was written according to the photo caption on the cover of an issue of KAISER-FRAZER DEALER NEWS.

the original prototype did not have turn-signals, it may be a pre-production prototype.

Check the video, at the 1:15 mark the instrument cluster is displayed. Check out the placement of the break in sticker.
