I have heard these "patina" cars are all the rage among "kustom" car craze folks in So Cal. There is a company that updates all the drivetrain, then drops a patina body around it and asks you to fork over $200,000.  This seems to be what this seller is going for.

If you look at the ad itself, the car is located in British Columbia, Canada - not LA.

There was a guy in Louisiana a couple yrs ago listing a nice '71 Riviera in craigslist posts all over the USA for months on end at an "I wish I could get this much" price.

There's a local shop that that stays busy turning out 6 digit cars for their customers, never seen anything there like this except out back waiting to come into the shop.

The seller obviously has a lot of time and money invested in the car and it could just be what someone likes.  The market will certainly determine its value and we will see how long it it will be advertised.
