Title: Keys
Post by: crosleyboy on August 16, 2010, 12:10:56 PM
Hi FOlks. I drive Crosleys, but have a one-off Crosley with a K-F dash. It has a VERY worn key (an old Yale key) that needs to be duplicated ASAP! Does anyone here know a source for this key? I have tried everywhere around here, and no one has the blank. Thanks.

Try jessersclassickeys.com. They have keys for just about every make.

Just a comment that this really surprises me. I've taken my KF keys to my local hardware store many times and they always have  blank that works. The most recent one I got was at Ace about two years ago.

I recently had Jessers make me a new door key.  They will certainly be able to do it.

Any competent key shop can make you a key that will work. If they cannot then remove the modifier competent.

I have had them make keys too - I out of town for business this week - I get a number for you this weekend - As I remember the key is actually a household type key - not automotive - but is a perfect fit!

Speaking of keys, which key fits the door locks and the glove box? Ignition or trunk? I have a 54 Manhattan. I think I need to re-key all of these locks.

On my 54, the ignition key will unlock the doors and the trunk key will fit the glove box.
