Title: Universal Joint Boots for Frazers
Post by: rex on May 28, 2021, 02:42:03 PM
Dear Fellow Members,

I am trying to find replacement rubber boots for the universal joints on my '51 Frazer.  Does anyone know a source for these or whether, say, Mopar boots would work?

Thanks!  Rex Crews

Is this what you need? Have at least one. Can look for more.

Hi!  That looks right, if it is those approx. dimensions.  My problem has been these boots all look very similar, but I suspect they are came in different sizes.  Thanks so much!  Rex

Willys Aero uses a very similar looking boot and I found NOS boots & trunnion rebuild kits on ebay by regularly searching new vintage part listings. I ended up selling my trunnion parts to another restorer & had a replacement driveshaft built with modern cross joints. Northwestern Auto Supply in MI has a huge stock of vintage parts too.

Thanks for this help, guys.  I did not think about call Northwestern.  Fortunately my joints are both still good and full of grease, I just don't want water or dirt to get in there.  Rex
