Anyone have an ignition key blank for 1950 Kaiser?

Tom, Have you contacted Anna Hansen? She is the widow of Richard Hansen, who offered them for sale in the Bulletin for years. She's listed in the 2021 Membership Roster.

Thanks for the info, I had seen that ad before and apparently the early Kaisers had a different key blank. I called Mrs. Hansen and left a message anyway.
The strange thing is, my ignition key has "Dodge" stamped on it. I will pursue that possibility. I will post my results so that others may have that info.

There is some interchange ability on key blanks.  The item that Richard (and now his wife) offered was the blank of the type K-F used in the later kaisers, Henry J/Allstate and even the Darrin (?).  I have the "bitting" information but if you have a working key and you want to try a blank of any kind, check out the Walmart auto center in your area.  If they have the Hillman machine for cutting keys and measuring for a suitable blank to work with, they can cut a key on a different blank compared to the original (aluminum with K for Kaiser and HJ/Allstate; Frazers used a similar blank with the F on it for Frazer).  You may find if you have one of the reproduction blanks that the trunk key blank is just a bit longer than the ignition key blank.  I tried it here in the shop and we could cut both keys but the ignition key did not work (goes in all the way but does not turn).  Our HJ uses the trunk blank and it worked for starting the car just fine.
