Getting ready to do a head gasket and repaint my engine. Can any one direct me to the proper color green for the 6 cyl?
-
In 1951 KF began using Garden Green metallic as their engine color. That same color became Olive Green metallic and was used by Chrysler Corp on their interior painted surfaces in the late 1960s. I own a 1970 Dodge Coronet and its interior painted surfaces are a match for the KF engine color. A formula is available from Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes in the Dimension product line. I had a pint mixed and used it to paint the block on my Darrin. It has held up with no fading or peeling.

OK, Thanks for the input. Was this the same color then for the engine on the 51 Kaiser as that appears to be the color my 51 Engine is.

Anyone have a paint code or number for the engine enamel or do I just need to match it best by eye.
