Jim,
I was particularly intrested in finding motor numbers and if they were period sensitive. I got a newly rebuilt engine with my car and wanted to make sure the one in the car presently belonged to this car. I helped me confirm this but cost me some more$$$$$$$.

Are you suggesting the book values are low? Because NADA says that a 48 Frazer is worth more than a 48 Lincoln, for example.  Or were you saying that you couldn't get the suggested book value back in the day?

I was suggesting that they were low.  When you bought your 1953 Dragon for $4000 and 2 1/2 years later it would be eligible for a $600 loan.... Gulp that is depreciation.   Or your beautiful 1954 Darrin that you paid $3668 for in 1954 and in 1956 it had a loan value of $1064.  That seems harsh to me?
