Write your congress people about getting a bill passed that would make deliberate spamming a Class B Felony (Federal, as interstate commerce is involved) and allow Federal authorities to use IP numbers to go back and trace origins.

It appears that anyone can register onto our website.
Can we not institute a filter/authorizaton for those that want to register?
This would include a valid email address as part of the registration.
I registered into the Yahoo Kaiser Frazer group and I first had to be admitted by the moderator.
Suggestions???

this was originally set up for members and non-members to use;  if you go back through the postings you will find that we've picked up a number of newer members based on the responses they got as non-members to their questions.  Do we really want to make this a members-only site?

Can't we have a waiting period for new members to post?  Spammers will not bother to come back at a later date.

I think most of the spam is likely "automatically" generated rather than being done by a single hacker working away at some location trying to get suckers to fall for crap...
