I am new to the club. I saved 4 Kaiser/ Frazers from the crusher this last fall, and wanted to get some opinions on the first one I'm working on, a 48 Frazer business coupe. Yes, I've modified it, but it was already stripped out, so I don't feel bad about customizing it. Would like to post a picture, but can't seem to get it to work. The "HELP" section wasn't much help. Any body have some tips? ??? Bill

Here's a link to a previous post on this site about attaching pictures http://kfclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=585.0. Good luck, would love to see pictures of your car.

First off, there is no such thing as a 1948 Frazer Business Coupe! If you can list the door post serial numbers and the numbers (with headers) off the firewall body tags on the cars, we can tell you the following for starters:
1. Original paint and interior material
2. Type of transmission
3. Factory installed options
4. Other aspects of the cars based on model year.

I spent 3 hour trying to attach pictures thru flickr and imageshack with no luck. My daughter and a friend, both with more computer knowledge, tried with no success. Maybe its my computer?,don't know. Would still love to show my 48 Frazer business coupe project, if I e-mailed pictures, would someone post them for me? Bill at studeynut@yahoo.com

Email me your pictures and I will host them so you can link to them. I think sights requiring a signon might be causing difficulties for posting.

Hey, it really is a business coupe! This looks like a neat project. Would love to see some more documentation like pictures of cutting and splicing, etc. Keep up the good work!

A lot of early styling talent at Kaiser-Frazer came from Chrysler Corporation. An alternative would have been to move the top forward and cover over the exposed area. Check out photos of a c.1947 Chrysler Business Coupe and see the alternative as a production car.

WOW!! That looks good! Now, our extended family had a lot of Dodges and Plymouths of all configurations in the 50s, and I have to say that I much prefer the lines of this project to the business coupes/Wayfarers/humpbacks/wagons etc etc that were put out by Chrysler of that era. MUCH! MORE!

Thanks Les for putting the pictures on for me. The body was shortened 18 inches, the front of side window was lowered 2 inches, and 1 1/2 inches in back, the roof above the rain gutters was lowered another 2 1/4 inches. I have a newer chassis that it will go onto next.

Actually what you have done is more like the St. Regis body that was used on early 30s Studebakers and Pierces than a Business Coupe. The St Regis body had an extended length door that when opened allowed (tight) access to the rear seat without folding the back of the front seat.
