Title: 49 Kaiser Special K-491 for Sale
Post by: 49 K491 on March 05, 2011, 02:17:48 PM
Greetings all ... Due to some health issues, it has come time to sell our 1949 Kaiser Special. To me, it looks like it is an older restoration. The interior is in fair condition with the dash needing repainted and a small tear in the driver's seat. It does need the brakes bled out before I would encourage anyone to drive it much as they are very soft. The emergency brake works perfectly however.  ;D They were fine last fall and it did not dump any fluid out over the winter which is why I am inclined to think that they just need bled out. It shifts without issues and starts every time. We have put nearly 2500 miles on it in the last two summers alone. We are asking $5000.00 or best offer for it and are keeping our fingers crossed that it will go to a great home. So, if you have an interest in the car, please let me know and I am confident that we could get something reasonable worked out. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will do my best to answer them. More pictures are available upon request as well. Thanks

Mike

Hope it found a good home. Is this the one that was for sale in Saint Cloud, MN recently?

No... it has been in Nebraska a few years now. And yes it found a very good home. The gentleman that bought it is familiar with the club already and has some great plans for this 'ol girl.

Are you the new owner?   ;)  That is a great car.  The '49 Kaisers are my favorite of the whole bunch.  It seems like all the restored cars are Travelers and Vagabonds.  It's nice to see a genuine sedan on the road.
