Title: auto trans dipstick

Has anyone devised a dipstick for the trans which is accessible from under the hood?   thanks

Since it's a Hydramatic, it was also used on GM vehicles.  John Haller here in Mpls used to put an Oldsmobile pan on his which had a dip stick to test the fluid level.  I believe it was a direct replacement. Someone else please chime in if you have heard the same.
