Title: 53K Manhattan Overdrive Cable
Post by: pnw_oldmags on May 04, 2011, 12:26:18 AM
The pictures below are showing the bracket which was attached to the Overdrive/Tranny that had the Overdrive Cable bailing wired to it.  I am guessing the bailing wire is not original.  Which One has the cable in the correct place and how is the cable supposed to be attached to the bracket??

Option 1....

Thanks for the help!!

The second photo is correct. The bracket rests against the solenoid and that prevents the cable from coming out the top.
Here's how it looks.  The red box I drew around it does not show up well but hopefully this will help.

On the cable was a cable tie done piece that was not bolted to anything.

Where should that tie down be secured??
