How do I post a picture of my Henry-J in a forum post? I can't seem to figure it out.
-
There are two ways.
The first way, you need to upload your image to a website such as Shutterfly or Fotki or perhaps your ISP allows you to do so. After you've uploaded it, click on icon above this screen (when you're in edit mode) and choose the icon which says "Insert Image" (you can see it by hovering the cursor over it) and click. Then paste the link to the site that hosts the picture in between the tags. Doing it this way is better and it will look like this -

The other way, which is the easiest, is to click on "Attachments and other options" below this window when you're in edit mode. Then where it says "Attach:" click browse and find your photo. It will come out like this (you can then double-click it to enlarge it) :

I don't quite understand that. Do you mean that you can attach (second method) a photo that you have on your own hard drive? The Studebaker Forum allows that, and I am NOT going to pay a subscription to a photosite just to post pictures here!
-
With the second method, yes, you just attach it from your hard drive. If you want to use the first method, Shutterfly is free, just go to www.shutterfly.com and create an account . I normally post my photos to comcast since they provide space with your e-mail account.

The Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club International at present does not charge for subscription to the website.
The picture attached here shows the HJ that was put through its paces at the GM proving grounds at milford. It is an individual frame off a 16mm color film reel.

I think it worked

Is that building by any chance in the Booton NJ area?

This photo was taken on the corner of Henderson and F st. in Eureka, Ca. The mural is on the wall of an Auto parts store and is still there.

Nice looking car and trailer. As you may have guessed, I have a fondness for '53 Henry Js. I just put my blue one away for the winter but I'll be driving my '52 Vagabond will end of this month. The one I have that belonged to Edgar Kaiser (yellow one in photo posted above) says it's a '51 on the title and tags but it has all the features of a '53. My guess is they put a '53 together and put 1951 tags on it. A story in a the KFOC quarterly back in 1999 states "A '51 was taken off the line and given some upgrades..." which is certainly possible but I seriously doubt that's what they did. The car has every feature of a '53 and some of these items would not be easy or necessary to change or update. I'm pretty sure they put K514 tags on a '53. It's a great car no matter what they did.

???The only pic I can see is the Henry J in front of the white house.
-
Ahh when I logged in I can see all pics!

Can you imagine how popular this car would have become if Kaiser had put a small V8 in a 1954 model?
