Title: HOWARD DARRIN'S PAPERS FOUND
Post by: kaiserfrazerlibrary on October 18, 2011, 07:21:36 PM
Any paperwork from Howard Darrin, his facility in Santa Monica CA and dealings with Kaiser-Frazer and Willys Motors, Inc that has survived have been located.  The material goes up to 1961.  I will pass on more information after I have had a chance to go through it and see just what is there.

There's another rather sizable collection of his personal papers at the Bancroft Library at UC Berkley. I had the pleasure of pouring thru the dozen or so boxes a few years ago. One item included the agreement between Edgar and Dutch to pay the latter royalties for the Darrin.

The papers donated by Dutch are not at the Bancroft.  In fact they are clear across the country.

Right...the papers at the Bancroft were those from Kaiser Frazer, Kaiser-Willys and Willys Motors. The Bancroft papers came from the Kaiser family. I was merely making the point that there are more documents pertaining to Dutch than in the latest find...
