Anyone know for what convention this jacket was made?
-
If that is the jacket that was just on eBay it was formerly owned by John Haller of Minneapolis. Most of his collection was disposed of a few years ago after he passed away. I had bought most of the collection and ended up with about five different club jackets. I don't think that they were made for any particular convention but were available in a couple of different styles by the club or a chapter many years ago. That is one of the nicer styles. Wear it proudly as John was member #127.

That looks like the style made by the North Country KFOC region, It would have been made approx 1980 - give or take around the time of the national convention in Arden Hills Minnesota.

Yep--I got it on eBay.
Thanks for the background and I will wear it proudly.
I have taken the KF story to many who have never heard of KF or the cars.

John Haller was a good guy. Yes, you can wear it with pride. Tom Wilson once posted this photo of Joe Frazer attending the KFOC National in New Hope, PA in 1963. John Haller is the guy in the hat who's face is right over Joe's shoulder.

And that's Tom, wearing his tam, at Joe's right. I believe he was in a kilt too...
