I thought I would see if I could figure out how to post a picture of my kaiser.

That picture brings back old memories, I saw one identical to that about 1955 and was impressed with the styling, the bambu interior was really something else.

Gorgeous Car!  A real joy to see one as nice.  BTW, were the rain guards over the side windows part of the Dragon trim or an aftermarket addition?

The window vent shades as they were called in the parts book were an authorized K-F accessory and probably installed by the dealer.  They retailed for $12.60 for a 4 door in 1952

Thanks for the kind words guys, I really think the Dragons and Manhattans are too cool, when I saw this one, even with five years of dust and spider webs on it, I had to have it. I sold my really nice 63 Avanti to buy it about four months ago. It needs transmission work before I can drive it and the wife insists that I get our Hudson Hornet completed before I spend any money on it. Gotta keep peace in the house you know. Kaiser's are frankly one of the few four door cars that have ever caught my eye, and from any angle they are curvy like a good looking woman is. I remember the first time I ever saw one driving down the street, it immediately stopped me in my tracks because they are so unusual.

Chris, your comments are right on the nose.  The car looks good from almost any angle, even now the curves are sleek, almost ***y, for a family sedan, at least!  Its a design that stands the test of time.  It certainly catches the eye of people around here.  We drive ours whenever the weather is nice.

I have to agree that (51-55) Kaisers are one of very few cars that look just as good in four door guise as in two (Hudson's are the other--so have fun with both those cars!).
