Title: Radiator Cap question
Post by: jamestyler520 on July 30, 2012, 06:53:15 PM
Please bear with me until I can get the Service Manuals that I ordered.

Question: I think my radiator cap needs replacing or at least I would like to have the assurance that I have one with the proper pressure. My local parts place does not have any info on the Frazer and have caps ranging from 7 to 20 . I saw online one for sale for Frazers rated at 4 psi.

What rating should I get?

Frazers used a 4 lb cap. Be careful though...all 1947 and some 1948 Frazers used a cap that was taller than those used today. You will need to match yours against what the parts store has.

Compare your old cap to the NAPA cap. This is what their book showed for my 49:

Part Number: BK 7031412        Product Line: Balkamp     IMPORTANT INFO: 4 lbs.,Boxed Product  hope this might help you.
