Title: Thermostat
Post by: boatingbill on August 22, 2012, 05:37:39 PM
Napa 137 is the 180 degree thermostat for the 47-55 engine (226). Does anyone know a Napa
number for the 160 degree thermostat? My '51 Kaiser runs too warm on these Summer days.

I got one for my '51 Henry J at Carquest. We took the number off the thermostat and the guy found it in his book and said it was the most common one used. I'm sorry I threw the box away but I'm sure they could cross reference the number from your thermostat.

porsche914, I am reluctant to tear it apart without the new thermostat and gasket in hand. I
learned this the hard way just like most things in life.
