Does anyone have a edmunds intake manifold for a 226?
I just bought the head and would like to run the manifold also.
Also are there any other speed parts made for a kaiser 226
Thanks

47trev,
Was that the one on ebay you got? I was looking at that too...NICE.
There's a site online, vintagespeed.com, that makes repops of Edmunds Custom's stuff but nothing for our 226. They do have an air cleaners from Edmunds. I wonder if they would make a copy of the head and intake from one of the originals you guys have.
I've seen for sale a cam for our 226, but places like EGGES MACH. mite be able to grind one to your liking. I was thinking of hot rodding my 49 but then thought that I would be messing with how smooth the motor runs in my Frazer.
Nice head though !!

Yes i bought the one on ebay
It took me a whole 5 minutes to decide to buy it now
I'll pick it up on wednesday.
Ive asked every speed equipment guy ive ever met about 226 parts and they just look at me funny like im making it up
Ill do you a favor and email vintage speed and ask them about making some copies of the head if they will ill let them use mine.
If i dont find an intake by next winter ill make one
Im gonna make me a set of headers in a few weeks

This Edmunds intake is now on ebay. No application listed. Will it work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180335495150

From the various members looking for replacement exhaust manifolds recently, including myself, would it be a worthwhile endeavor to have some new ones made up somehow? Is there some custom shops that have done this? Is it even possible? ??? I had a master craftsman cast iron welder guy repair mine. I admit the first time I saw the huge holes he cut into it when he started, I had my doubts, but it seems to work and look very well after it was powder-coated. Still, I think a new replacement would be a good thing for the future. Thoughts?

I plan on buying a set of mistake tubes from speedway motors i think its like 80 dollars. And im just gonna go to the steel shop and buy thick enough material for the flanges. I figure if i can c notch and lay my 47 on the frame with airbags i can make some headers. Ill post pictures when im done.

I look forward to checking that out!

I recieved an email back from vintage speed today and they said they already have the patterns for a edmunds head for a 226.
He didnt say if they were gonna reproduce them or not but if enough people want them you might get them to make some.
