Title: interior paint color
Post by: kfnut on March 17, 2013, 09:00:00 PM
while looking at the data plate on my 52 J i see the number 16 under the I.P. space . The handbook gives the color info as Willow Grey in the data plate section of the book . My interior color is black but could have been painted in the past . The inside of the glove box cover is a grey color as is the steering column . Should the whole inside color be Willow Grey ? If so , where does the color start and end ?

IP--Interior Paint--refers to the color of the painted surfaces.  For a Henry J this would include dashboard and other steel or metal non-chromed surfaces.  I would refer to the color showroom folder for the Corsair type (52 Vagabonds used the 1951 model year body tags) or other finished cars for what gets painted and if it gets painted the IP color or something different.
