Title: Another Kaiser Dealer Found In Nebraska
Post by: 51HJ on May 15, 2013, 06:30:49 AM
I thought I would post this information if anyone is intertested, Jake  located these receipt / oil change / repair / invoices booklets  in one of the buildings Gaylord  had.
I guess since it's Fraiser Willys it would be 1954 - 55 ?

How many Kaiser dealers have you found so far, as a new owner of a Kaiser, I only know 2 in Chicago area, Zollie Frank (Zfrank) and Judson Motors, I have a few on info sheets that came with the car.

My listing is a partial as the remaining factory records went to landfill in the early 1970's (although the Kaiser business papers on file in the Bancroft Library at UC-Berkeley may have some info).  I have over 6,700 listings including Canada and other parts of the world.  The list has K-F, Graham-Paige Auto that never got into the K-F program, Graham-Paige Farm Goods only, Kaiser-Willys program dealers and Willys Motors (jeep) dealers from after 1955-56.

There are dozens of listings for K-F dealers in the greater Chicago IL area.  You can check them out by going through old issues of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE.  The factory periodically placed ads in the paper showing the list of dealers currently franchised at the time the ad ran.

I've added the current list here as an attachment (6,779 listings) including over 4,800 K-F dealers.  Source for the listing is identified along with applicable year(s) so there is something to back the info up.  Be advised that each time a dealership changed its name or moved it has a new line item (a new franchise document should have been issued each time something like this happened).

Thanks for posting that list. I have several more dealers that are not on your list for Nebraska and Oklahoma. If you want to add them to your list, I've email them to you.

In order for me to make an entry into my database of dealers, I not only need dealer name, city, state, what make(s) handled AND something to identify the year the information comes from.  Items recently listed do not identify year so I cannot add them.

The database needs accurate information so it is reliable and useable by others.

I am the grandson of the KF Dealer in Jacksonville, Fl (Triangle Motors).  I have some family movies of the dealership and some newspaper articles/advertisements if you are interested I will share.
