Title: 1952 Virginian Taillight Lenses
Post by: akrose56 on May 31, 2013, 02:21:08 AM
Have recently discovered near mint red triangular taillight lenses for a 1952 Kaiser Virginian Hardtop. Part number KATSI. I have 3. 2 right and 1 left. Contact me if interested to discuss price...

'52 Virginian taillight lenses are no different than all '51K taillight lenses, no?  Is there something special about them?

Exactly the same, and common.  1952 Virginian Hardtop?  Sorry, no such thing!

The 1951 Kaiser tail light lenses have KATSH stamped on them but that's not the factory part number. These lenses were the same on the 1952 Virginian which was nothing more than a 1951 Kaiser which had not been sold by the end of the 1951 model year. In order to sell them as "new" cars, KF added a black plastic hood ornament, Virginian scripts on the side and many had a Continental spare tire on the back. They were then retagged as 1952 models. Unlike the 1949/50 Virginians which were hardtops, the 1952s were sedans or hatchbacks. What you have is a 1951/early '52 lens. Not that rare but an NOS example is desirable and saleable if the price is right.
