We have a Ruby's 50's Diner that has a cruise night every Friday night. So popular, that guys have to arrive at 3 Pm to get a good spot or you find yourself parked on other side of mall parking lot. Not getting home until 6 pm, I usually just go without the car. Last night after dinner my buddy text me, said he arrived at 2:30, and the guy next to him just left. Get down quick as he saves the space.
Kids and I jumped in our 51 Kaiser and we t down there. If only you could see the crowd that swarmed around our '51. After parking, I couldn't get out of drivers seat for 10 minutes. Had to be at least 60 people swarming the car. I have NEVER seen reactions to my car like that before.
Keep your cars on the road, and get them out to the shows!

Wait until I get our 52 Henry J finished, and we park them next to each other. Going be fun

Teresa and I love taking my '51 to the Cruise nights here. You never know what you are going to see! We have had our Kaiser parked with other '51 cars that showed up and the contrast in styling is amazing. Our cars look very modern compared with the offerings from the other makes.

I'm at the Whittier car show, where are you?

Big Dave that's awesome. That's what we need to know as members.
Mr Mommson, I trust your car will be at the National next year.

ROADMASTER49, Our '51 will be at the National in Puyallup next year, God willing! So far, she is working just fine and will pretty easily make the short trip down there from our house. We hope to see you there!

The group of guys I go to car shows with started the Whittier Uptown Car Show. After all the work for 4 years, we walked away from the show because politics. Became huge conflict for those of us that are city employees.
Second reason I don't go is very crowded show and I know 3 guys that have had their cars damaged and scratched. Half of it is low rider show and its type crowd you can't enjoy because you have to watch your car constantly.
Hope you had a good experience.

I know they have an issue with parking. We got sent to a parking lot to wait and then did not get told to line up when the street cleared. Then they had us driving to the other end of the show when then had 2 entrances this year that should have filled that end up allready. 2 side streets were not filled either. I dont think I will be returning. But I did win some raffle items.

It is run by the Uptown Association, which is only looking at the sponsors and the $$$.
The politics between the association, the city, and the volunteers is unreal. A lot finger pointing.
I know some guys that went at 6:30 am and usually watch the cars drive in to the show at 7. They left at 8 because cars were still not being parked. Be interesting to hear what went wrong.
