So far (Friday) we have had 9 cars and many folks show at the regional meet in Goldendale, WA. The Long Distance Trophy has gone to Dan and Shannon who drove their 1948 Kaiser and a 1947 Teardrop trailer all the way from Michigan. Congratulations!
Here is a photo of some of the cars back at the motel after a hill climb up Mary Hill along the Columbia River.

For many years, the early cars...47 and 48 KFs...were the exception and not the norm at KF meets. It's nice to see folks taking an interest in them again. Nice picture and I sure wish I could have attended.
See you next year in Tacoma!

I had the same thought joe! You don't normally see a row of slab-siders like that at regional meets. It's great.
-
For those of us who dismissed the early cars, you should really drive one. They are great riding cars! I have a new appreciation for them now that Paul B from Moses Lake gave his 49 to my wife and I to drive around to the various places for the meet!

Who owns the gray Frazer? I saw another pic of it on Facebook. Beautiful car.
I like the early cars and was lucky enough to ride in John Parker's Blastaway '48 Special with him at the wheel. I believe I even got to drive it once.

That's Don Chaimberlin's '48 Frazer. It is a very nice and very correct car.

Paul Boehm put on a great PNW Regional Meet in Goldendale. Lots of smiles and great conversation.

I went to click the "like" button for those pics, but forgot I was not on Facebook. Thanx for the pics, Jim.

Our esteemed news bulletin editor and winner of a 100 dollar gasoline card during a local car club event almost made it home... ;D

Chevron does not sell Non-Ethanol Fuels. Almost made it to my real gas supplier. Luck I had some extra gas in the trunk.
-
I thought that was pretty smart, actually. Now you have a tank full of good fuel.
-
Yea that is why I ran short on full on the Freeway :-*
-
How embarrassing, Kaiser out of gas on side of the road. What were people passing by thinking?
"Guess his gas gauge don't work"
-
They were probably think he was running without his Overdrive working. :-[
BUT he did get a Kaiser to the Meet ... LES!
