I have a auto-lite dist. that is nos . I have looked for info on the application but can not find it . Can someone help me find the application ? It is a 8 cylinder Mod. # IGP-4504-M7Y009982 .
I have found a Packard number really close . Someone suggested it was military from the M in the model number .
Any help will be appreciated .

Nothing in the Auto-Lite Books, 1936-1957. Hudson and Packard used IGP series distributors but nothing of the number you list. It might just be a military type (would be set up for 24 volt systems if that's the case).

Thanks for looking at it . I knew it would be hard to ID but still hoping someone can .

About the only place I can think of 8 cyls military is tanks or PT boats. But Im no expert,,I just play one on TV.
